OK, it was Saint-patty’s day, yes this story is old, but the story I wrote yesterday disappeared into thin air. So enjoy. I’m not Irish or a BIG DRUNK in fact I find that men who are drunk, are more annoying then any tantrum throwing three year old. So it’s not as if, I actually care about a Holiday that lets people drink and then drive. Does Saint patty’s day mean a lot to you?
Anyway, the real issue on my mind is relationships; something that society and relatives tell you that you have to do, in order to appear “normal” to the world. I wouldn’t say that the guys that I have dated or casually had sex with in the past were losers, but I wouldn’t exactly call them winners either.
The first loser/roommate, which was almost six months ago and we were living together and yes we had casual sex, as I was still simultaneously seeing my X boyfriend. Who’s insane and it seems as if insanity run’s in his family; actually I thought he was related to one of the members of the Chain Saw Massacre. So when we broke up, I was so sappy and heartbroken over our breakup, which, at that time, I actually reminded myself of that guy in the movie Forgetting Sarah Marshal. After 2 months of seeing them both, I simultaneously got rid of them at the same time.
My roommate claimed to have a degree, which I believe was a straight-out lie and he is the most ignorant person that I have ever met and still is. He is a man, who believed that he could sue someone for attacking them, oh and did I mention that he’s also as nutty as a can of nuts. So after I moved, because it was either going to be him or me and I’m not one to be violent, I decided to move out. That’s when I met another Virgo, Virgo’s are my personal kryptonite, we clicked at first and that’s when everything went sour, he was using me for sex and he also had that disease that’s called; “verbal diarrhea.” What I mean, is that he started to get verbally abusive and started saying things like; “if you don’t make at least 100 dollars a day you’re a loser.” So I said, I know a guy who makes 6000 dollars in one day; so what does that make you? The comment he made was one of many, but it was the last straw for me and I didn’t want to spend any more time with a 41year old drumming/sales man… So I dumped him.
Then I dated a rock-star and we dated for 3 weeks. Why did I stop seeing him? The man had no idea what personal boundaries where and was so use to women jumping all over him, that he expected me to act like that and the qualities that he said he respected in me, are the same qualities that he disliked about me. He liked me because I was real with him and not just after him because of his fame or money. Even though he had a really nice house in the Hollywood Hills, I dumped him anyway and even thought I like southern indie grunge, I still dumped him. Why? He just wasn’t the one for me.
Then last but not least I decided to date a personal trainer, who had ADD, who was taking care of his sister, who’s a raving lunatic, who’s mother and sister died in a car crash. He was a train wreck and I met him at one of the places that I worked at, but he forgot to mention the fact that he was dating a girl that I worked with and continued to do so threw out our relationship. That was the tip of the iceberg, but when he flipped out on me over religion, that was the last straw. He blames god for what happened to his mom, you could say he was “DISFUNCTIONAL”; I have enough of my own family drama and I don’t allow any man to yell at me, unless I have done something really wrong, but that’s what steroids do.
So far dating for me has been more of a curse then a blessing, but one good thing that has come out of all of my dating fiasco’s is; I know who I want and what I want and I won’t except anything less and when I find out a guy is a phony, a liar or abusive or all of the above, I dumb him. No second changes, no get out of jail free cards. Why? Because life is short and I have enough people whom are not my boyfriend, trying to make me miserable. So in my personal life, I want happiness and anyone who stands in the way, I eject.
